Child Poverty in Western Cities21-22 november | Leeds UK | Child in the City (CiTC) Foundation
Wealthy areas of western cities often mask poverty, particularly in disadvantaged urban neighbourhoods. A prime example is Leeds, which hosts Child Poverty in Western Cities from 21-22 November. The diverse city in West Yorkshire has a population of nearly 800,000, yet is home to some children whose families are living on the breadline. Methods and solutions for tackling some of these issues on a global scale will be presented at the conference, a dedicated children’s rights seminar from the Child in the City Foundation in partnership with the city of Leeds.
